Drawing upon her experience leading a franchise business and in new corporate development, Sarah is now focused on spurring corporate innovation via external ventures, incubation and acceleration at Sime Darby, one of Asia’s largest conglomerates. Earlier, she pioneered the roll out of a new corporate venture capital unit in the company, from strategy paper to P&L responsibility – which invested in pre- commercial companies in the biotechnology space. Notably, she worked on a US$30Million acquisition which signing was witnessed by former President Obama.
An emerging thought leader in Women & Business, Sarah is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce of England, was recently named Prestige Top 40 Under 40 and FEMALE’s “Iconic Woman”. Sarah also co-founded Asia Women Circle that drives @leaninmalaysia, a platform which harnesses the power of community to embolden women to achieve their full potential. In 2016, Sarah was appointed by Sheryl Sandberg (COO, Facebook) as Regional Leader, championing Lean In Asia with a reach beyond 300,000. Sarah also now consults with the 30% Club, representing the millennial voice in getting more women on boards in corporate Malaysia. She continues to be called upon internationally to challenge discussions, having spoken on Facebook’s grounds in Palo Alto, on the investor panel at Cleantech Forum Italy, in consultation with former UK Business Minister Mark Prisk and recently in Washington DC with the Women in International Trade.
￼Sarah holds a Bachelor of Laws from King’s College London, and is now pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification.
